Paving Scheduled in River Pines Area This Week
As part of our Roadway Management Program, we will be paving several Sewer 32A roads this week.  Binder course pavement will be placed on Old Middlesex Turnpike from Avila Road to Westwood Avenue, Avila Road, Carmena Road, and Brentwood Place on Thursday, August 27th.  We anticipate one day of paving, running from 7:00am to 5:00pm.  Expect delays, traffic will be detoured around the area.

Reclamation Scheduled on Alexander Road in Pinehurst This Week
As part of the Cook Street & Alexander Road Reconstruction Project, a section of Alexander Road will be reclaimed starting Wednesday, August 27th through Friday, August 29th.  Work will begin at the intersection with Cook Street and continue for a length of approximately 1,000 feet.  There will not be any lane closures for this work; traffic will be directed through the work area by traffic detail officers.

Paving Scheduled in East Billerica This Week
As part of Sewer Contract 34A, we will be performing the final paving on several roads this week.  Weather permitting, Jared Circle, Greenacre Drive, and Lantern Lane will be paved on Tuesday, August 26th.  Eastgate Road and Salem Road from Eastgate Road to the Wilmington Town Line will be paved on Wednesday, August 27th and Friday, August 29th. We anticipate one additional day next week will be needed to complete the paving on Salem Road.  Work will run from 7:00am to 5:00pm.  Expect delays, traffic will be detoured around the area.

New Program for Appliance, CRT and Tire Collection                              Effective July 1, 2008, Appliance Recyclers will handle curbside pick up of the following: white goods, televisions, computer monitors and many other large or small items.  The new program will also include the pick up of smaller electronics such as DVD players, VCRs and laptop computers, as well as tires for automobiles, SUVs and small pickup trucks.  Residents should contact Appliance Recyclers to schedule a pick up and make payment.  Call toll free 1-877-228-2898 or go to www.applrecyl.com.  No sticker is required.

Stage II Mandatory Water Conservation
Effective May 1, 2008 to September 30, 2008, outside water usage will be limited to an odd-even allocation program.  Odd numbered houses will be allowed to water on odd numbered calendar days, even numbered houses will be allowed to water on even numbered calendar days.
