Heavy Motor Equipment Operator, Highway Division
This position reports to the Highway Division of the Department of Public Works. This person will operate heavy equipment such as a backhoe, front end loader, dump truck or other similar equipment.  Must have knowledge of and be experienced in the use of hand tools for digging of ditches, patching of streets for repairs, and will perform all other duties as required.

The applicant must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.  Must have a valid Class B Massachusetts Commercial Driver’s License with air brake endorsement. Must have an unrestricted Massachusetts Department of Safety Class 1C, 2A, 4E Hoisting License.  Must have 1 year of experience in the operation of heavy equipment or equivalency in schooling.  Work hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday with some overtime required for emergencies or other work. Starting salary is $18.12 per hour. This position will remain open until filled.

Equipment Repairman, Wastewater Division
This position reports to the Wastewater Division of the Department of Public Works. This person will install, repair, and maintain wastewater equipment; perform preventive maintenance and emergency troubleshooting; operate equipment such as jet/vacuum truck, camera truck and associated equipment; operate computer, perform data entry and record-keeping as part of camera truck operation. This person must be competent with the tools and technology used in the maintenance and repair of equipment.

The applicant must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent; valid Massachusetts CDL Class B Driver’s License and a valid Grade 1 Wastewater Operator’s License. Work hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday with some overtime required for emergencies or other work. Starting salary is $19.1231 per hour. This position will remain open until filled.
